Bioethics and vulnerability; a Latin American view.
Most of what has been written about ethical problems in medicine, says Luna, has focused on the Anglo-Saxon and European contexts, and bioethics — unlike pure philosophy — is always rooted in a particular society. She examines some of the concerns that pervade Latin American society and offers a different vision of some bio-ethical problems, drawing on the concept of vulnerability, which has only recently been introduced into bioethics. An Argentine bioethics scholar, she has served national, continental, British, and international organizations and has published work around the world.
