Dykes (reference/research librarian, U. of Houston Law Center) offers a research guide for a broad audience of tax professionals, students, and others on international tax law. The author provides instruction and resources on how to research international taxation, primary and secondary sources, US international taxation, and online research. As the author notes in his conclusion, until a multilateral tax treaty that applies to most nations is enacted, international tax issues will be a challenging field to master. There is no index, although the book is relatively brief. (Annotation ©2011 Book News Inc. Portland, OR)

Prince (legal research, Vanderbilt U., Tennessee) updates again her reference guide for attorneys, legal secretaries, paralegals, and law students on citing legal authorities according to the rules in The Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation 19th edition, 2010. Clarifying that this is a companion rather than substitute, she applies Bluebook rules to a representative collection of common legal authorities, and her abbreviations are those found in The Bluebook or derived from its guidelines. Among the categories she shows examples for are states' highest courts, numbering acts of Congress, US Supreme Court reporters, and annotated reports from multiple jurisdictions and their periods of coverage. There is no index, but the table of contents leave little room for surprise. (Annotation ©2011 Book News Inc. Portland, OR)
