Analytical methods for lawyers, 2d ed.
Five authors have joined together for this book — four affiliated with Harvard Law School (Howell E. Jackson, Louis Kaplow, Steven M. Shavell, and David Cope), and one with Vanderbilt U. Law School (W. Kip Viscusi). They created this text to accompany a Harvard Law School course designed to bolster basic skills and present vocabulary and techniques from the basic business school curriculum. These skills are drawn from such fields as economics, accounting, finance, and statistics. Law students who didn't focus on any of these fields as undergraduates have a gap in their knowledge that doesn't get remedied with the usual law school curriculum (in fact, these students may even self-select away from such courses). Chapters cover decision analysis, fames and information, contracting, accounting, finance, microeconomics, economic analysis of law, statistical analysis, and multivariate statistics.
